How a Navy SEAL sets realistic Goals and Objectives

Got some questions about goal setting after our email this weekend. Wanted to give you guys a quick, down and dirty guide on how to reach your objective with goals and micro goals.
For the purpose of this we will use our 180 Day Training System and the Objective will be to complete the training plan to improve a PST or PRT Score and get Optimum Range.
Okay so we have our Main Goal or Objective stated. Let's test it and make sure it’s realistic and attainable.
That’s the first part. You have to make a goal that is attainable. It is 100% feasible to get your PST score to optimum in 180 days.
Next you need to break down this 180 Day Challenge into “Micro Goals”. This is really easy with the 180 Day plan. We break the plan into 4 main parts: Strength, Power, Endurance and Mental Toughness. And those parts are broken down into weeks. So you can tackle this 1 day, 1 week, and 1 section at a time.
Okay so you have a stated objective, we tested it to make sure it is achievable and we have broken it down into digestible chunks.
It’s that easy. So go ahead and start TODAY! All you need to do is follow the daily plan, commit 30 minutes to 1 hour a day to the workouts. Grab a swim buddy for accountability if you need to!
We break up all our training plans into “micro goals” or training segments making them easy to follow and complete. Each day is a new workout.
